Solar Inspection

Understand the solar system that comes with the property

Solar panels are part of the property you’re buying. I inspect the accessible equipment, document concerns, and collect a production reading to help you understand the system before closing.

I serve Durango, Cortez, Dolores, Mancos, Bayfield, Ignacio and Hesperus, throughout La Plata and Montezuma counties.

Panels and mounting: I look for visible damage, loose hardware, shading and pest activity.

Wiring and electrical equipment: I check accessible wiring, conduit, inverters, disconnects and solar breaker labels.

Roof connections and storage: I document visible roof penetrations and wear, plus the exterior condition of battery equipment when present.

What the system is producing

I use a clamp-on multimeter to record production at the time of inspection, where safe access allows. Sunlight, shading and weather affect that reading.

I document equipment information and available installation details, with photos that make the findings easier to follow.

Useful documentation: I explain the concerns I find and identify questions to resolve with the seller or a solar contractor.

Clear scope: This is a non-invasive inspection, not a repair service, code-compliance certification or guarantee of future energy savings.
